Coming of Age
Coming of Age is a story by Deep Metal. After Beavis and Butt-Head graduate Highland High, they find Gus Baker, a conservative talk-radio host Beavis once mooned, talking on TV, and believe he's planning to become president and "stop us from seeing naked chicks and music videos or something." They decide to go to Washington DC to protest, and end up joining Mr. Van Driessen, Cassandra, and Stewart Stevenson on a cross-country trip as their way to reach Washington. (En route, they forgot what they started the trip for) Daria Morgendorffer joins them on their trip after attending a play on Broadway with Jane Lane and noticing Butt-head taking the place of one of the actors.
Meanwhile, a vast conspiracy of characters conspire against Beavis and Butt-Head, including Gus Baker, the recently fired Principal McVicker, Earl, Clark Cobb, and the recently freed Todd Ianuzzi, under the command of the sinister "Mr Lobby"...
During the fic, in the face of life-altering events, most of the protaganists - including Daria - and several of the villains end up changing for the better... but will Beavis and Butt-head change too, or remain exactly the same as they always have been...?
