The title is a play on the phrase "through a glass, darkly", from 1 Corinthians 13:12.
This episode was voted the best episode of Daria by fans participating in the Daria Tournament of Champions.
Summary
Daria experiments with wearing contact lenses. She comes to like the way she looks in them, causing her to question her commitment to misanthropy.
